A forensic investigation is a carefully planned sequence of activities performed by a team of highly skilled technical professionals, each of whom plays a specific role during the investigation. This course will examine relevant laws regarding the search and seizure of digital evidence, the available tools to create a "best evidence" image of the digital evidence, and how to properly document the seizure, validate the image set, and establish a proper chain of custody for all evidence seized.

Prerequisite(s): FSIS 600 OR a passing score on the FSIS 600 Assessment OR approval of the program coordinator.
