BIO 240 Nutrition

Examines the effect of nutritional status, food habits, and food consumption on human health. Nutritional requirements at different stages of human development and various nutrients contained in representative food categories are covered. Techniques and procedures for the application of nutrition knowledge are discussed in the context of socioeconomic factors and consumer concerns. Specific application to nursing is described.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of Progression Criteria; a grade of "C" or better in BIO 113 and CHEM 110
