MATH 135 Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning 3 credits, Fall and Spring Surveys applications of various fields of mathematics to everyday life. Topics to be covered include calculation, measurement, and number sense; recognition and interpretation of growth patterns; mathematics in financial decisions; elementary statistics and probability and their uses in decision-making; and other applications.
