Learning Communities are clusters of classes which some first-year students are able to take as a group. They strengthen and enrich students connections to each other, the faculty, and the subject matter they are studying. Learning communities also help first-year students become engaged in the culture of Stevenson University. Learning Communities create an environment for success by promoting deeper learning, and they allow faculty to teach and students to learn in more interdisciplinary and intellectually stimulating ways. Learning Community students can connect in the classroom through collaborative learning and group projects, and outside the class through field trips.
