MATH 132 Mathematics for Teachers

4 credits, Spring

Explores a variety of mathematical topics needed by prospective early childhood and elementary school teachers. Topics include sets, numeration systems, whole numbers, integers, number theory, rational numbers, ratio, proportion, percent, geometry, tessellations, measurement, coordinate geometry, and problem solving. This course is open to education majors only.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of "C" or better in DEVM 105#, or placement into MATH 121 or higher
