ENG 230 Critical Approaches to Literature I
3 credits, Spring
Introduces critical methodologies that focus on text, reader, or context. Students develop interpretive skills through application of approaches such as Formalist, Rhetorical, Reader-Response, and Historical/Cultural. Restricted to English language and literature majors and minors and interdisciplinary majors with English language and literature as an area of study.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of "C-" or better in ENG 152 or equivalent
