SOC 260 American Popular Culture 3 credits, Fall or Spring (as needed) Examines the interplay of popular arts, mass culture, and American society from the 1890s to the present, with emphasis on the period since World War II. Draws on approaches of the social sciences and the humanities to gain insight into changing attitudes, values, and beliefs.
