BIO 329 Pathophysiology

3 credits, Fall and Spring

Explores the mechanisms, manifestations and processes of disease. Common cellular and biochemical abnormalities are studied as well as examination of disease states in the major body systems. Emphasis is placed on common conditions related to functional health patterns. Principals of disease transmission and immunological responses are integrated. This course does not satisfy a minor requirement in biology.

Prerequisite(s): Restricted to nursing majors; must meet all progression criteria for sophomore level nursing students; a grade of "C"or better in BIO 203, BIO 240, and BIO 322 (BIO 240 and BIO 322 may be taken concurrently)
