CHEM 105 Introduction to Chemistry of Medicine 3 credits, Fall Introduces students to the chemistry of medicine. This course focuses on the sources, history and mechanisms of action of analgesics, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral drugs, and anti-cancer agents. Traditional and complementary treatment approaches for specific diseases and the implication of drugs in society are discussed. Designed for non-science majors.
