NURS 102 New student seminar-nursing

Provides first-year and other new students with a foundation for success both here and after graduation. Topics include a review of school and University policies, tips on how to study at the college level, time management strategies, self- assessment, career options, and networking with upper division students. Students are introduced to the process of Career ArchitectureSM through interactive discussions, self-exploration sessions, and other related activities. The course requires the creation of an academic portfolio as groundwork for the sophomore and junior portfolios and, ultimately, the senior capstone requirement. This is a required course for all first-year and sophomore transfer students majoring in Nursing. Restricted to nursing majors.
